I went home for Christmas last year. It was lovely.
This year though, I decided to stay east of the Atlantic. With my visa expiring and ruining my life coming to an end in March, I figured I’d be on a flight home soon enough.
Luckily for me, my flatmate Harriet and her family took my little Christmas orphan self in to their home to partake in all their festivities. A real English Christmas!
We did a day of touring around Plymouth, a day of Christmas celebrations (including the pub!), and a very wet walk on Dartmoor (thank goodness for Heather’s jacket and Helen’s boots!), followed by cream tea. It was the perfect holiday vacation.
And did I mention it was super English?!
A very big thank you to the whole family for hosting me this season. It was such a treat!
